Why Purchase a Shave Soap?

With all the shaving products on the shelves today, one can get lost in all the choices.  There are gels, creams, lathers, powders, just to name a few, and then you get into the razors.  There is definitely more than you fair share of choices. And then there are the costs. Products range in price from the cheap $2.00 can of cream to anywhere in the double digits.

Shave Soaps – Simply better for your skin than those other products

Not only is the shave soap a better bargain, the lather from a traditional shave soap is unbeatable, particularly when you can combine a little hot water and moisten your face prior to applying.    The difference in using a shaving soap and an alternative product, such as a gel or cream, is simply time and routine, and yes the equipment and application. Shave soaps, moreover, such as the all-natural ones contain rich amounts of oils and butters that moisturize the skin and reduce razor burn during the process.  Additionally, it is quite convenient, when using a shaving soap and brush to lather and re-lather as many times as needed to get the cleanest and closest shave possible.

Shave Soaps are Great for the Ladies

Now for the switch.  Let’s not totally focus on guys and shaving soaps.  The reality is that shaving soaps work perfectly for the ladies also.  For the slickest legs possible, with the least amount of razor burn, nothing beats using a shaving brush for shaving those legs.  Again, the difference here is time and application. And just like for the guys, a great shave soap provides the moisturizing that you do not get from gels or creams.

While it is easy to get carried away with just the soap, we cannot forget about the importance of a shaving brush.  The brush provides an exfoliating feature and works to slightly lift those hairs and stubble into place for better interactions with your razor.

And with all that, there it is.  A good shave soap is more cost effective, provides nourishment, and leaves you with a better shave overall.  Take a moment and check out our shave soaps at Cinnamon Ridge. Our pucks are an average of 3 ounces or more and last for much longer periods that those cans of stuff.  Don’t be razor lazy. Try one of our shave soaps. You will not regret it.
